6 things to know about EBC Films’ Make it Reel by MJ Racadio
Got talent? Dreaming to be part of the film industry including acting, screenwriting and film making? Your chance is here, EBC Films’ Make it Reel, a film workshop. Getting-to-know the people who made this happen. But first, you should know these 6 things about Make it Reel.
1. Learn how to act in front of the camera.
2. Proper execution of the given character. Example, playing an angry mother to her child.
3. Screenwriting. Learning how to write the script and the dialogue in the movie.
4. Becoming a director. Learning the ropes of directing a film. For example, Director Carlo Cuevas will instruct actors to act the characters in the movie scene.
5. Honing your skills to the next level by attending workshops. For example, cinematography, guerrilla film-making, and sound editing.
6. You will be recognized after the workshop during the awards night. You’ll never know after Make it Reel, you will act in a movie scene.

Aside from that, Kuya E also focus on exciting segment called “All About Success” where he invites business people to share their knowledge in how to make it as a successful entrepreneur. In addition, the viewers can expect Tulong ni Kuya E (Outreach) which is helping less fortunate individual across the archipelago.

Recently met with Davey Langit right after his hosting gig for Pambansang Almusal. Medium in height, kind of stocky dude, soft spoken, and very polite. Langit known for his hit song “The Selfie Song” and garnered million of hits on Youtube.
Apart from that success, he started as one of the scholars from Philippine Dream Academy headed by Iconic Legendary Jim Paredes of APO Hiking Society. His also a disc jockey of 95.5 Pinas FM and he has won the Himig Handog PPop Love Songs of 2016 for “Dalawang Letra” as composer performed by Itchyworms.

Let’s get to know Davey Langit Up Close and Personal
According to Davey, he started playing the guitar in a such tender age as a hobby. During his college years, songwriting came and eventually joined the Philippine Dream Academy. Langit honed his talent in songwriting and the rest is history. He has written song for Yeng Constantino, which is “Cool-Off” 11 years ago. In 2013 Langit smashed hit “The Selfie Song” he only recorded it on his smart phone and uploaded on Youtube and garnered 10K Views after a week. In addition, he stated, “it’s always a pleasure to work with Iconic Jim Paredes of APO Hiking Society.”

International Indie Actor Making a Name for himself

Tall, dark and handsome with great charisma. Friday eve, sat down with John Stevenson Tabangay, he was ecstatic with our interview. By the way, its his first-time solo article after the world premiere of “Walang Take Two” (No Second Take) and currently star in a spin-off “Hapi ang Buhay” directed by Carlo Cuevas which recently won Best Director in an International Film Festival in London. Let’s find out what his humble beginnings.
What motivates you to become an actor?
It motivates me to become an actor, first thing I wanna help my family to provide for them. Secondly, I was bullied before and show them that I can do it. Finally, I thank INCinema and Ka EVM for giving me the opportunity to showcase my talent.
Who are your inspirations?
My family inspired me a lot to push this kind of career, they gave me moral support and also my friend inside the Church of Christ. In terms of acting, I followed the career of John Lloyd Cruz, he’s a very good actor.
What are your hobbies?
I play volleyball, badminton, track & field. My latest hobby is travelling and exploring the Philippines.
According to John, he started acting at his locale stageplay until got discovered for “Walang Take Two” (No Second Take) he played as struggling film-maker facing personal and family problems. The spin-off currently being aired at Net 25 produced by Eagle Broadcasting Corporation.
What advise can you share for those wanted to do acting?
“My advice also there’s a great friend told me that steven always remember humility is a virtue, guys it’s very important na tayo ay humble lagi huwag lalaki ang ulo or magiging mayabang and let us all share the blessing na narerecieve natin sabi nga give and take. So guys if your passion po ay maging actor/actresses go lang God will guide you!”
